This topic is a really good idea, because I enjoy to practise on my English. In comparison to other languages it´s easy to learn and this might be another good opportunity to expand one´s ability.

hum...In my opinion, it's easyer to lean Latein (Whats the English word for that? The language of the Romans...)...

Oh, and no, I'll have to agree with Chaos. I've been learning Latin for 2 boring years and I think it's anything but easy to learn. English is in my opinion way easier, cos you can actually hear it spoken nowadays, like for example watching Stargate in english helps a lot. Considering this, Stargate in Latin would be pretty funny.

Yeah, something like that. Well, it might get a little confusing, if Jackus would start talking in the language of the Ancients once more. Even though I wouldn&#39;t understand a word anyway, so it actually doesn&#39;t matter.

Yeah, well that&#39;s exactly what I mean. If they were speaking Latin all along it would be pretty hard (especially for someone who doesn&#39;t speak Latin, like myself) make out what&#39;s Ancient and what&#39;s just normal talk. You could only tell by the confused expressions of the others... but wait, would they even notice he was speaking a different language? Well, one thing is for sure, Stargate in Latin would complicate this kind of things a lot.

I too learn Latin but I actually rather prefere learning english&#33; It&#39;s really much easier&#33; But Latin isn&#39;t bad&#33; at school I have to translate Asterix form Latin into German&#33; It isn&#39;t as easy as you might think&#33; It&#39;s actually really difficult&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

I don&#39;t think Latin is bad either, and in fact translating Asterix sounds way more interesting than the stuff we used to do. My Latin class used to be all about grammar, and for me grammar equals boredom, so after 6th grade I quit Latin and tried another language: French. Bad choice if you ask me. Now I&#39;m learning Spanish and... it&#39;s actually getting worse.

Yea, I too did this&#33;&#33; And it was actually the worstest idea I&#39;ve ever had. now I&#39;m learning 3 languages&#33; English, Latin and French. But at the end of the Schoolyear I will quit French and start learnig Spanish&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

Well, I&#39;m quite the looser when it comes down to foreign languages, but I don&#39;t think learning spanish would be the best idea. Look what it&#39;s done to me&#33;
No, I&#39;m just kidding. You should do what you think is right.
Actually I only picked Spanish for one reason: confusing regulations in our school system. I was 100% convinced that I had to learn 2 foreign languages when in fact I could&#39;ve just quit French without picking another one. Well, now it&#39;s too late anyway.

Well, for me Latin and French were okay. I tried the good old language of Russia for a year and I can tell you that I got quite frustrated by doing that. It sucked to learn a whole new alphabet and that took a lot of time. In the end I got too annoyed and put an end to it.

In year 7 I have had to choose (is that correct??? :?: ) either French or latin and than in year 9 I have had to choose either the language I didn&#39;t choose in year 7 or Informatik or " Hauswitrschaft".
Could please someone tell me who invent this stupid System????? :?: :?:

I don&#39;t know who comes up with stupid ideas like that. Why don&#39;t they cut out the choosing part and start making the decisions for you themselves. And the choice you&#39;ve got sounds a bit odd. I mean learning a language is completely different than "Informatik" or "Hauswirtschaft".
The most annoying thing about school is, that these confusing regulations keep getting worse. There are so many things you have to consider in 13th grade, so many formalities and stuff nobody really knows what it&#39;s actaully good for.
Well Spacemonkey, if I were you I&#39;d definitely choose "Informatik". I&#39;m still feeling bad for choosing "Pädagogik" or Spanish instead of "Informatik". I had it for one year (depending on some freakish school regulations) and I really liked it. But again, that&#39;s a decision you have to make on your own.
