Favourite Atlantis Episode

Well, since I am the 'English Guy', I might as well start off.

What is you favourite Atlantis episode to date and why?

Mine has to be Progeny - great storyline and stunning special effects...

I'm quite sure a moderator will close this thread as soon as possible. First, there's already a thread like that (in German) and second, they love to do such things over here

But to answer your question, I really enjoyed "Duet" (although I'm not a McKay/Beckett slasher at all).

But I only saw the episodes until "Lost Boys". There's so much more to see (Dr. Who, Torchwood, heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Veronica Mars...). No time for Atlantis

My favourite episode is The Siege Part3, because I like the Daedalus so much and this is her first appearance!

I like all episodes with the Genii. The storys are better, and they're more interesting than the Wraith storys. I don't know, but I disliked the Wraith since the first time they appeared.

First Season:
Rising 1+2, 38 Minutes, Before I Sleep, Letters From Pegasus, The Siege 1+2

Second Season:
The Siege 3, Duet, Grace Under Pressure, Michael

Third Season:
Common Ground, McKay And Mrs. Miller, The Return 1+2, Tao Of Rodney, Sunday (update)

Yes, I always like episodes based around the Ancients, so episodes like 'Aurora' and 'Before I Sleep' to top my list. The SG-1 episode Lost City (which is sort of a bridge between the 2 series) is also very good. I like Joel Goldsmith's score in the big hologram scene.

here are my favourite episodes:
- rising (both parts) --> a really good beginning for a new show
- 38 minutes --> nice idea, but the realization is bad
- brotherhood --> this episode got a sg-1 feeling, and i love sg-1
- all siege parts --> the best cliffhanger ever (and don't forget the appearance of the deadalus)
- aurora --> it's the same like 38 minutes, nice idea, but that's it
- lost boys & hive --> very good looking special effects and ford is back in action
- critical mass --> a very good crossover episode
- inferno --> very good story and hey, we've got the orion ...for a short time...
- progeny --> atlantis' twin in action...and the "replicators" are back

that's it. i don't know more episodes of season 3.

Since I've seen only season 2 (ans two episodes of season 3) I can only say which episodes of these my favourites are:
- Runner
- Duett
- Trinity (something for Teyla/Ronon-shipper ->like me)
- Critical Mass (not only the wraith as enimies; and this wonderful song)
- The long Goodbye
- Sateda (very good character-episode for Ronon)

(I'm not proud of my engllish, but I've tried)

I would say `Hide an Seek´ is one of my favourite episodes.
I like all charakrer episodes of McKay and I tink this is one of the best.

I also like `Common Ground´, because you learn something new about the Wraith.

My favourite episode is Rising, Part 1 and 2.

This episode is very good.
The Sheppard is comical.
The Colonel Sumner is amiss.
Dr.Weir is the perfect manageress.
McKay is good but yet is he a crank

Yeah, cool, english thread! and favorite episodes. That, I like

First season:
- Rising, pretty good start
- Hide and Seek, first signs of McKayish heroism....
- The Storm and The Eye, because the city in a bad storm just looks damned good - and the Genii are nice little buggers, too
- Hot Zone because Weir and Sheppard had a row about how to deal withe the emergency situation
- Letters from Pegasus What would you record, facing your last days and the destruction of Atlantis? cool idea
- The Siege Man those Hives sure scare the shit out of you - really really felt good to see one of them cut to pieces by that sattelite...

Second Season:
- Intruder, Yes, AntiVirus never hurts... Nice flashbacks to Earth and how Sheppard got Leadership
- Runner, Beckett: "Usually I don't make housecalls..." rofl !!!
- Trinity, trust McKay for the really nasty big explosions
- Aurora, Shep:"Rodney, you're drooling over a Wraith?!?" - So what, so was I
- Critical Mass, Those bloody snakheads just turn up in every Galaxy don't they?!
- Grace Under Pressure, brilliant and comic acting by Hewlett - and we wouldn't mind seeing more of Sam in Season Four would we?
- Inferno, trust Mckay to save your sorry little doomed but - at least if he didn't cause the explosion in the first place

Season Three:

Spoiler 

- Sateda Ronon on a killing Spree, I could help but remeber Unreal Tournament
- Progeny, while I dislike Replicators, I don't mind having them as architects
- The Real World, Well if you like Lizzy... Hey and it had RDA!
- Common Ground, there's a lot more about Wraith than we know
- McKay and MrsMiller, "Holy Cow, that can't be good for you"
- The Return 1 & 2, Yeah lets resign, save Atlantis and live there happily ever after
- Echoes, solid episode, nice gfx for Daedalus, the dead pilot did bring up unwholesome memories of to many Horror -B-movies, though
- Tao of McKay, Go Vader, Rodney! and by the way, hight time for better shields for Deadalus
- The Game, Sheppard and Mckay surely are crucial for funny episodes - let's fire that Lucius Lavin Guy - we don't need him!
- Sunday, hey more background on characters - that I like. While I'll miss that scotish accent, I won't mind another good looking women on the cast.
- Submersion, Gee, that ancient queen was one nasty piece of work

As you can see, I'm kind of into Season Three, can't wait for the DVD release!

Haven't seen S3 yet, though. I heard there's a lot of McSheppy snark, so I'm very much looking forward to watch them.

I think, my favorite episode is Conversion, altough I liked 38 Minutes from the first season an I think, I will like Common Ground. But I still didn`t see this season, so I can`t tell about. But can you tell me, why there is not that much stuff in the english area? I would like writig much, but there is just this threat. It`s a pity!
